Catch-a-Call
A device for dialup users...

It's a little box that you plug into your phone and modem.
It is a hardware alternative to internet answering machine software like Callwave.

If you get a phone call when you're online, the box squeals.
Then you can pick up the phone that it's connected to or you can ignore it and stay online.

Radio Shack has them. You have to buy call forwarding from your phone company for Catch-a-Call to work.

Exact Audio Copy

http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/en/

CD ripper and .WAV editor.

Audacity is a better audio editor.

I only use EAC for CD ripping.

EAC creates big temp files and undo files in WAV editor mode. It normally deletes them, but if EAC crashes while editting they won't be deleted. If EAC crashes or you're running out of diskspace, type "eac" in Window's find dialog and sort the results by size to see if there's any temp files that weren't deleted.
